In our spare time

We've been exploring beyond the water... to the LAND! We went to "Water Island" to see Julian Gargiulo play a very small concert. Photo taken looking out over Honeymoon Bay at sunset.
The home hosting the concert had an awesome model train set up in the front cul-de-sac. Very elaborate set up with multiple trains and even a tram way (which Sasha had to fiddle with and try to get working).
This is is a new little snorkel site off of water island that we discovered.

Higher Altitudes

This is my "I'm scared out of my head" smile.
Sasha and I are going up the mast on a weekly (or more) basis to measure the length of the shrouds and check fittings. As you know we are using new synthetic materials.. which means there are still some questions out there. We are measuring and tightening and measuring again, then sending our data to the company who produces this type of rig. It's a little extra work, but the view is amazing!!
This is the teeny tiny version of the boat. Check out all the surfboards!
Sunset from the top of the mast.

Prep Work

Yummy pralines! These little guys are packed with pistachio and studded with poppy seeds.
I've been practicing pizza and since I had some extra dough, I decided to try my hand at calazones, too. The recipes I've found have either been so sticky I can't work with the dough or so full of flour that the dough turns out more like bread. If anyone has a good recipe let me know!
Healthy nut granola- need I say more? Mix. Bake. Enjoy.

More Surf

Found some good surf this morning (there was very light southerly winds, which is rare)...

This spot is between two cays north of St. Thomas. There can be a lot of current here. Today, the current was flowing north, which was awesome, because after riding a wave, I barely had to paddle back to the break! Tara got some great photos from the tender. Take a look at the following sequence:

Secret Spot

We finally found a little bit of surf in an idyllic spot.

Too bad I can't tell you where this is.

Don't worry about it, tho, the surf was really small.
